Ms. Anastasia
Faculty
Ms. Anastasia began dancing and performing at the age of 9. Her professional ballet training continued after she received a full scholarship to Kirov Ballet Academy at the age of 16 from Youth America Grand Prix Competition, as well as winning 1st place and a special artistic mention award at the regional finals. Her education continued at John Cranko School in Stuttgart, Germany where she trained with the academy under Galina Solovieva and upon graduation received a contract with Vienna State Opera Ballet. After taking a break and starting college, she auditioned for several theaters in Europe and received a contract with Mikhailovsky Theater in St. Petersburg, Russia. Throughout her career, she has danced the full classical repertoire as well as several neo-classical pieces from choreographers such as Lar Lubovitch, Twyla Tharp, Hans Van Manen, Nacho Duato, and Roland Petit. She's had the opportunity to take part in Gala des Etoiles as a young artist dancing among ballet greats such as Marinela Nunez, Lucia Lacarra, Iana Salenko, Polina Semionova, Vladimir Malakhov, and others. For two years she has been invited by Farukh Ruzimatov to take part in his gala concerts with pieces choreographed by Vladimir Keyhel and Andrei Pimonov specifically for her. Her passions lie in developing clean technique and artistry based on her Russian ballet background and correct use of muscles in order to create strong + nuanced dancers. She looks forward to passing on her experience and knowledge to the next generation.
